View projectSeal-Guard® impregnators for grout, tile and stone are the result of more than forty-five years of intensive and worldwide research and development. Our trademark "Gus the Seal" is recognised all over the world as a representative of the best sealers currently available on the market.
Seal-Guard® sealers were originally manufactured in Australia and the United States under the brand name Sure Seal®. In 2006, a European branch was also established in Great Britain under the name Seal-Guard Sealants (UK) Ltd. Seal-Guard® products made their first appearance in the Netherlands in 2007. At the end of 2018, the European headquarters of Seal-Guard® were moved to the Netherlands, from where Seal-Guard Europe B.V. and its European distributors will continue to expand the brand’s presence in Europe.
The award-winning, quick-drying grout and tile aerosol sealer - a world first - was the first Seal-Guard® product to be launched on the European market. Since then, demand for our unique products in ever larger quantities for ever larger jobs has led to the production of the liquid Seal-Guard® impregnators, which come in 1-litre and 5-litre containers.
Seal-Guard® Grout & Tile Aerosol Sealer is the world’s first aerosol grout and tile sealer that seals both dry and damp grout lines between glazed ceramic tiles. Overspray on surrounding tiles is not a problem, as Seal-Guard® is invisible after application and does not cause a haze, yellowing or discolouration. Seal-Guard® is suitable for damp surfaces and can be applied to damp grout joints as early as 20 minutes after grouting. It's unique in the industry. The Seal-Guard® aerosol is also used on silicone caulk in shower cubicles to prevent the formation of mould. Seal-Guard® prevents staining, dirty joints, mould, mildew and limescale, making it easier to clean your bathroom. The Seal-Guard® Grout & Tile Aerosol Sealer was awarded the prestigious title of "Best New Industry Product" by the Australian Tile Council (ATC) in 2003.
Seal-Guard® products are used on all types of natural stone, including marble, granite, travertine, slate, limestone, bluestone, quartzite, sandstone and basalt, as well as on terracotta, brick, concrete, terrazzo, ceramic tiles, porcelain, grout lines, stucco and masonry surfaces and protect against oil- and water-based stains.
Seal-Guard® products are easy to apply, quick-drying and ideal for both professional contractors and DIY enthusiasts, who love the products because of their ease of use and durability.
Seal-Guard® solvent-based and water-based products contain no silicones, last for years and do not alter the appearance or texture of the surface to be treated. The products do not yellow, allow the surface to breathe and are resistant to UV radiation. They help combat efflorescence and can be used around swimming pools because saltwater and chlorine do not affect the performance of the products.
As all solvent-based and water-based impregnators from Seal-Guard® remain breathable, you can impregnate your new natural stone floor with Seal-Guard® shortly after installation and cleaning. The vapour permeability of Seal-Guard® allows water to evaporate and the floor to continue drying, preventing liquids from penetrating into the floor and protecting your floor from oil- and water-based stains. In practice, this means that you can impregnate with Seal-Guard® as soon as the top layer of the floor has dried and been cleaned (free of grout haze, floor-care product residue, etc.), so that Seal-Guard® can penetrate the pores of the natural stone and the grout joints.
Seal-Guard® oil- and water repellent agents have been successfully tested by the prestigious Tile Council of America (TCA) for their stain-repellent properties, water vapour permeability and friction coefficients.
Seal-Guard® products have been widely used in a number of large commercial projects, some examples of which can be seen on our website under the heading "Projects".
